We are firm advocates of growing our business sustainably. Aquascot has developed a bespoke monitoring system to closely track the environmental impact of our operations. Our company newsletter ‘Fish Tales’ includes monthly updates on our utility consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in order to raise awareness amongst our employees.

Aquascot has set an ambitious target to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions per unit of production by at least 15% by 2020. This is being achieved through improved energy efficiency, encouraging behaviour change and ensuring new projects follow the highest environmental standards. Minimising our impact will not only benefit the environment, it will also reduce costs and strengthen the reputation of Aquascot as a responsible and sustainable member of Scotland’s food community.
